An official statement states that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Series will feature "top-of-the-line upgrades" and enhanced AI performance.

Additionally, the representative emphasized that Samsung is extending Galaxy AI's reach beyond smartphones to encompass smartwatches, wearables, laptops, and other devices.

Early in 2019 is when the Samsung Galaxy S25 series is anticipated to debut. For a while now, there have been leaks and rumors circulating that the smartphones will soon receive an asymmetrical design along with updates to their cameras and other characteristics. A Samsung representative discussed the Galaxy S25 series on a recent earnings call, teasing potential advancements while praising the Galaxy S24 as the "world's first AI phone."

Upgrades for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Series

Daniel Araujo, Corporate Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Mobile eXperience (MX) business, discussed the company's forthcoming flagship smartphone lineup, the Galaxy S25 series, during the company's earnings call for the second quarter of 2024. According to the official, at launch, it would have "top-of-the-line upgrades" in terms of the camera and display.

Additionally, Araujo stated, "we're preparing the best memory and application processors in the industry to boost AI performance and offer an overall premium experience."

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is anticipated to be the company's flagship device, may receive two additional image sensors in the coming months, enhancing the ultra-wide-angle and telephoto cameras' capabilities. A "new version of the 1/2.76-inch JN1 sensor" is rumored to replace the Galaxy S24 Ultra's current ultra-wide sensor. Its resolution may also be increased to 50 megapixels. A new "1/3-inch ISOCELL sensor" for the telephoto lens is also rumored to be coming; this sensor might be marginally bigger than the current one.

The representative also emphasized that Samsung is extending the reach of Galaxy AI, its suite of artificial intelligence (AI) services, beyond smartphones to encompass a wider range of ecosystem products, including tablets, laptops, smartwatches, TWS earphones, Galaxy Ring, and smartphones. Additionally, it will be included into apps, the operating system (OS), and other software.

Samsung announced the existence of the Exynos 2500, a forthcoming proprietary mobile processor, on that same call. The large-scale integration (LSI) section of Samsung System will create it, and the company hopes to guarantee a steady supply of it for its "flagship products." The Galaxy S25 series is expected to be among the smartphones running this chipset, albeit only in some areas, even though Samsung did not identify the devices.
