While PS5 games cannot be played natively on the PlayStation Portal, users can stream them with console quality controls via a Wi-Fi network.
Finally making its way to India is Sony's PlayStation Portal, a game streaming device that allows users to view PS5 titles from a distance. On Friday, PlayStation India made the announcement about the handheld's release in the Indian market. The gadget was released late last year in the US and other countries. The PlayStation Portal remote player enables users to stream PS5 games with console quality controls over a Wi-Fi connection, despite the fact that it cannot run games natively. Along with DualSense wireless controller capabilities like haptic feedback and adjustable triggers in compatible games, the gadget has an eight-inch LCD display.

In India, the cost of the PlayStation Portal remote player is Rs. 18,999. Beginning on August 3, Sony Centers, Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance, Vijay Sales, Blinkit, and other participating shops will carry the handheld gadget in a single white colorway.

While games cannot be played natively on the PlayStation Portal, users can stream PS5 titles via Wi-Fi at home. Thus, even when someone else is using the TV that is linked to the console, users can still play their PS5 games on the PlayStation Portal.
Sony's Remote Play functionality is how the PlayStation Portal operates. Players must first turn on or place their PS5 in rest mode in order to set up Remote Play. The console needs to be updated to the most recent version of the system software and linked to the Internet.
